3-4-2002 - Kent, Wash. - Fresher Under Pressure, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Flow International Corporation (Nasdaq: FLOW), today announced the appointment of Matthew Rutherford to the new position of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

"Matt has built his career in the food industry and has an impressive background in strategic planning, operations, marketing, and sales management," said Pat Adams, President and CEO of Fresher Under Pressure, Inc. "He also brings substantial new product and business development experience-as well as a global perspective-which will make him a great addition to our executive team as we build and grow our company."

Before joining Fresher Under Pressure, Inc., Rutherford was director of global accounts for International Paper's beverage packaging division, where he led a global segmenting, targeting, and positioning process that resulted in a refocused and highly successful selling effort. He also served as the beverage packaging division's global business manager for aseptic packaging and as general manager for Europe, Latin America, and North America.
